Barbering 1528 Clock Hours

The barbering program is a comprehensive study into the field of Barbering. Program lengths vary from 12 to 18 months completing 1,528 clock hours. The program is designed to give the student a strong foundation of history, theory, and the business of the profession while gaining the practical proficiencies and skill necessary for career of leadership in the barbering industry.

Program Description

The barbering program is designed to provide you with the information needed to pass the state licensure examinations, techniques to ensure your success at No Grease Barber School and the profession of Barbering. At No Grease Barber School you will be introduced to a new world of creative expression, technical skills, and human relations techniques that will be continually enhanced as you grow and develop in barbering.

Program Length

Full-time: 12 months at 36 hours a week Part-time: 18 months at 22 hours a week

  • Tuesday-Friday 9:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m
  • Saturday 9:00 a.m - 1:00 p.m
Part-time Program
  • Tuesday – Saturday 9:00 a.m – 1:00 p.m
  • Tuesday – Friday 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Saturday 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

Instructional Methods

Students attend theory daily and a written exam is administered after each unit of study. Students are expected to achieve, at a minimum, 80% out of 100% as a satisfactory grade. No Grease Barber School uses an interactive approach to instruction and incorporates various instructional methods for different learners and learning styles. These methods include but are not limited to visual aids, demonstrations, student participation and other instructional techniques.
